Before Saturday’s reunion together with his former membership Blackburn, John Eustace says Derby need to continue the progress they’ve made this season.
The Rams went down 4-2 at Hull on Tuesday to undergo back-to-back Championship defeats for the primary time for the reason that begin of December and are actually eleventh, six factors behind Wrexham within the remaining play-off spot with 12 video games remaining.

Eustace told BBC Radio Derby: “We’d lost our first three games, it was always going to be a big game, to get that result was great and really kick-started our season to keep us in the league – it was a huge game.
“We’ve obtained a variety of ex-players who used to play for the membership [Blackburn], it is a unbelievable membership and I’m positive it is going to be an amazing sport.”
He added: “This season was all about progressing, loads of gamers popping out and new gamers coming in, tons happening behind the scenes on the coaching floor. Up till now we now have definitely progressed the membership and we wish to maintain going.”
Derby have conceded in 26 of their 34 league games and Eustace says it is something they need to work on.
“We have to defend so much higher,” he said. “The most important factor we had been after (at Hull) was a response after Saturday’s efficiency (at Watford) and we definitely obtained that, the sport might have gone both approach.
“There were lots of positives to take from it but we have to keep learning from a couple of the negatives.
“We have to begin protecting some clear sheets, we’ve not had sufficient clear sheets all through the season, for those who do not do the fundamentals properly sufficient you are not going to.
“We all know we can still do better from a defensive point of view.”
