Major blow to M&S prospects as the grocery store large confirms a busy on-site cafe will shut to make room for a larger foodhall.

Rebecca Rabadia, Regional Manager at M&S, mentioned: “We know many of our customers want to be able to shop a wider range of M&S Food.

“We understand this will be disappointing news for some of our customers, however our team will continue working hard to serve them in-store.”

Between November 2025 and March 2026, 20 new or renewed M&S shops are set to open as a part of the chain’s development, creating 800 jobs.
