Flint YWCA receives Kyle Kuzma Family Foundation Grant

Flint, Mich. (WNEM) — An area YWCA has been awarded a $50,000 grant from the Kyle Kuzma Helping Hand Impact Fund.

The Helping Hand Impact Fund is offering grants to nonprofit shelters for ladies and youngsters affected by home conditions. With an initiative to supply direct help for moms and youngsters, $100,000 has been invested in home violence shelters to assist them rebuild their lives.

With funds from the grant, shelters will present direct monetary help to residents, serving to them overcome instant boundaries to security, stability and independence.

“Having raised my children as a single mom, I know how challenging it can be to provide for your family while navigating difficult circumstances,” stated Karri Kuzma, co-founder of the Kyle Kuzma Family Foundation. ”Through the Helping Hand Impact Fund, we hope to supply significant help and empower these ladies to reclaim their independence.”

The Kyle Kuzma Family Foundation awarded two grants this 12 months to home violence shelters. The recipients of the grants embrace $50,000 awarded to the YWCA Greater Flint, Mich., and $35,000 awarded to the Sojourner Peace Center, Milwaukee, Wis.
