SANTA MONICA, Calif. (KABC) — A suspect has been arrested after a shooting during a fight on the Santa Monica Pier sent individuals scrambling for canopy on a busy Sunday evening at the favored vacationer hotspot.
Santa Monica police say an 18-year-old is now below arrest. Two individuals have been damage, including the suspected shooter.

Two individuals have been shot after a big battle at the Santa Monica Pier Sunday evening, police stated.
Witnesses stated the shooting occurred simply exterior of the arcade round 9 p.m., and issues shortly grew to become chaotic.
“We captured this video of some of our friends playing some games, and we actually captured the shooting. It was crazy. Watch this,” witness Dave Jonsson stated in a video posted to Instagram.

The investigation lasted for a number of hours.
Police stated a second injured particular person — recognized as 18-year-old Jaysawn Williams of Rialto — ultimately confirmed up at a close-by hospital with a graze wound. The Sunday evening gunfight comes as vacationers start flocking to the seashore in droves for annual spring breaks.
“We were here to enjoy our night, and this kind of cut it short,” Hannaford stated.
