Journalist Piers Morgan has issued a warning to Donald Trump within the wake of his administration releasing a weird video which splices footage from real-life drone strike movies from the Iran battle with clips from a Nintendo Wii recreation. The publish exhibits footage of strikes minimize with components of the Wii Sports recreation, with the programme’s recognisable upbeat music taking part in within the background as characters scored bullseyes. The caption accompanying the alarming publish merely mentioned: “UNDEFEATED.” It has been considered nearly 100 million occasions after being shared on March 12. Reacting to the video, Morgan fumed: “I loathe these posts that treat war like a video game. It’s deadly serious, and a lot of people are getting killed, including innocent children and US servicemen/women.”
Issuing a warning to the President, he added: “It’s not a game, Mr President @realDonaldTrump – please don’t treat it as such.”
Morgan’s comment sparked a blended response, with one individual penning: “It’s so disgusting. I mean, it’s not funny, this is not the time to strut, killing around like a proud peacock dancing during mating season. War is tragic and heavy, and we’re losing service members. Why not post about them? Why not honour the fallen on our side? This is sick.”
Another mentioned: “Social media sometimes forgets that behind every headline there are real lives involved.”
A 3rd added: “My question is clearly the White House thinks it’s working because they keep doing it. But who is their audience here? Is there a group of Americans who look at war in terms of a game?” Someone else penned: “It is grotesque coming from the White House.”
Meanwhile, somebody added: “This is a way to capture the attention of the younger generations. I love the @WhiteHouse social media team. They’re absolute top tier.” Another penned: “The post was about military success, not treating war like a game.”
