Phil Campbell, Longtime Motörhead Guitarist, Dies at 64

An announcement by Phil Campbell And The Bastard Sons has introduced that guitarist Phil Campbell has died aged 64. Campbell joined Motörhead in 1984 and remained a core member till the band’s finish in 2015 following the demise of frontman Lemmy Kilmister.

“It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved father, Philip Anthony Campbell, who passed away peacefully last night following a long and courageous battle in intensive care after a complex major operation,” the assertion learn.

“Phil was a faithful husband, a beautiful father, and a proud and loving grandfather, recognized affectionately as ‘Bampi.’ He was deeply liked by all who knew him and will likely be missed immensely. His legacy, music and the recollections he created with so many will reside on without end.

“We kindly ask that our family’s privacy is respected during this incredibly difficult time.”
