NFL free agency: Arizona Cardinals bring back DL L.J. Collier

The Arizona Cardinals are bringing back considered one of their defensive linemen in 2026. No, it is not Calais Campbell (not less than not but). According to ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler, defensive lineman L.J. Collier is re-signing with Arizona for a one-year contract value $2.5 million.

This would be the fourth one-year deal Collier has signed with the Cardinals.

He has been in Arizona since 2023. Last season, he had a knee damage that restricted him to simply 4 video games. In these 4 video games, he had six tackles and two quarterback hits.

Two of his three seasons in Arizona have been injury-shortened. In 2023, he tore his triceps in Week 1 and missed the remainder of the season.

In his one fully wholesome season in 2024, he performed in all 17 video games and had a career-high 29 tackles, a career-high 3.5 sacks, 4 tackles for loss and 6 quarterback hits.

Collier rejoins a defensive position room that has Darius Robinson, Walter Nolen and Dante Stills below contract. P.J. Mustipher is an unique rights free agent and can probably be back as nicely.
