A “legend” is being rewritten on Starz this fall, as seen within the just-released trailer for “S.W.A.T. Exiles,” the upcoming spin-off of CBS’ “S.W.A.T.”
Premiering on Friday, September 25, the brand new collection as soon as once more stars Shemar Moore as Daniel “Hondo” Harrelson, the function he performed for all eight seasons of “S.W.A.T.” When the spin-off picks up, viewers be taught that Hondo has left his life in S.W.A.T. behind after a botched raid turned deadly, however he is shortly lured again in to guide a brand new staff of younger recruits — one “built from LA’s most talented rejects.”

As if training a new team against some of the deadliest threats Los Angeles has to offer isn’t enough of a challenge, Hondo also discovers that his unit has a mole, someone disclosing private information to outside forces who may not have has his best interest at heart. “What begins as paranoia turns into a slow-motion realization: S.W.A.T. itself is being set as much as fail, and somebody with actual energy desires it gone; changed by one thing extra personal, extra controllable, and much much less accountable,” the logline warns.
Jason Ning serves as showrunner of “S.W.A.T. Exiles,” executive-producing alongside Moore, Neal H. Moritz, Pavun Shetty, James Scura, and Jon Cowan.

Who else is returning for S.W.A.T. Exiles?
Longtime “S.W.A.T.” followers will likely be pleased to know that, whereas Shemar Moore is the one collection common coming back from the unique present, the spin-off will include guest appearances from previous cast members, a few of whom present up within the trailer.
The first familiar face Hondo encounters in the “S.W.A.T. Exiles” premiere is that of Commander Hicks (played by Patrick St. Espirit). He’s the one who sets all of this in motion by offering Hondo this new position as team leader — or as the logline puts it, he offers Hondo “one final shot at redemption.” Episode 1 also includes an appearance from Jay Harrington as Sergeant David “Deacon” Kay.
It was reported in February {that a} third “S.W.A.T.” actor, David Lim, is also set to appear someday in the course of the spin-off’s first season, reprising his function as Officer Victor Tan.
