Pittsburgh Steelers broad receiver DK Metcalf made headlines for all of the flawed causes this week. A put up on his Instagram story immediately drew backlash because the two-time Pro Bowler made enjoyable of a grocery story worker.
Fans Call Out DK Metcalf Over Since-Deleted Post
Steelers insider Anthony G. Halkias II identified on X that Metcalf shared an Instagram story mocking a grocery retailer worker’s physique.

“Hey, Steelers’ DK Metcalf. What are we doing here? Taking pics of a dude doing his job and making fun of him for 1.7 million people on your Instagram to see is pretty whack imo. Am I wrong?” the insider wrote, straight calling out Metcalf’s put up.
The picture confirmed the worker from behind. Metcalf added the textual content “The build: God: mhm imma make a 2 waist build,” taking a shot on the employee’s physique.
Soon after, followers started pushing again in opposition to Metcalf.
“Is this real?” one user asked after seeing the screenshot.

In response, Halkias revealed that the broad receiver had eliminated the put up. The insider added that “it was on his Instagram today for several hours.”
Even after he deleted his put up, the criticism continued to unfold throughout social media.
“So over everyone just being cruel to strangers for no reason,”one person wrote, criticizing the conduct.
Another one who claimed to know Metcalf from childhoodoffered a more personal message: “We went to school together in fifth grade. Please put the phone down. I know this isn’t you. Deep down inside is still that kid who’d always be shyly smiling while everyone swarmed you to ask about your dad. Come home, son.”
More followers quickly joined the dialog.

One fan wrote, “Thank God he’s off my team. JSN would never.”
Another questioned the contrast in Metcalf’s social media exercise, writing, “What makes this more funny is DK Metcalf spamming bible scripture on his Instagram every day and then posts this. Quite ironic.”
A third user wrote, “Yeah, this isn’t it, dawg. Be better, man.”
Just just a few weeks earlier, Metcalf confronted scrutiny over another social media exchange.
He posted a photograph carousel on Instagram with the caption, “I can sell wings to a bird.”

A fan, referencing Metcalf’s commerce out of Seattle, after which the Seahawks gained the Super Bowl whereas Pittsburgh exited within the Wild Card spherical, left a pointed query within the feedback part: “Is the grass still greener over there, DK?”
Metcalf responded with a private jab that shortly caught consideration.
“Yo momma and daddy related?” he wrote.
Soon after, he confronted backlash from followers and analysts. This incident comes roughly eight months after the NFL suspended Metcalf following an incident with a fan. The league handed down the suspension after Pittsburgh’s Week 16 matchup in opposition to the Detroit Lions in December 2025.
For now, Steelers followers will hope Metcalf can go away these distractions behind and give attention to soccer as an alternative.
