UNCASVILLE, Conn. — — Serah Williams had 12 of her 14 factors within the first half, Sarah Strong had 11 factors and Azzi Fudd had 10 factors as No. 1 UConn rolled to an 84-39 win over Georgetown within the quarterfinals of the Big East event on Saturday to increase its profitable streak to 48 video games.
KK Arnold added 12 factors and Kayleigh Heckel had eight factors for UConn (32-0), which gained its thirty seventh consecutive convention event sport and forty third in a row towards the Hoyas. Strong joined Nykesha Sales, Jennifer Rizzotti, Rita Williams, Moriah Jefferson and Gabby Williams as the one UConn ladies’s gamers with 100 steals in a season.
Laila Jewett had 9 factors for Georgetown (14-17).
Georgetown scored the sport’s first 4 factors. However, Williams had eight points during a 10-0 run to provide the Huskies a lead they might not relinquish. The Hoyas went virtually seven minutes with out a basket within the second quarter. UConn scored 13 consecutive factors throughout that stretch en path to main 47-18 at halftime.
Georgetown, which has misplaced to UConn within the Big East event for the fourth time up to now 5 seasons, had only one discipline aim within the third quarter.
