KELSO, Wash. (KATU) — Firefighters battled a industrial hearth Saturday afternoon at a lodge in Kelso after crews arrived to search out smoke coming from the constructing.
Cowlitz 2 Fire & Rescue responded to a fireplace alarm at 510 Kelso Drive at 1:39 p.m. Saturday. The constructing on hearth was the Red Lion Hotel.
When hearth crews arrived, they reported smoke exhibiting from the entrance facet of the constructing.

Firefighters evacuated all company and staff from the lodge and started hearth suppression efforts.
No accidents have been reported and the reason for the fireplace just isn’t recognized at the moment, a spokesperson for Cowlitz Fire & Rescue mentioned.
Several KATU viewers submitted photographs of the fireplace.
Resources on scene included six hearth engines, three ladder vans, one water tender and 5 chief officers managing the incident, Cowlitz Fire & Rescue mentioned.
